Glen Drive Dear tl'Ir. Jones: Section 14. 08. 260(d) of the City Se�ver Code requires that side sewer connections to the main be done aL• the property owner's expense. Since the City does not normally perform contractual services for private parties, this then also implies tliat the owner must make the connection to the main. 'fhe only exception which is made to the above section is in bond se�ver areas where the City constructed the sewers tivith revenue bonds �vith the intent of providing ser- vice to the property line. In these areas, the property o�vners pay an additional sewer construction charge for sevrers to the property line and thus, if we can sub- stantiate that a side se�ver to the property line was inadvertently omitted, we will install one. In the Evergreen Glen area, the sewers were not constructed with revenue bonds � and thus Section 14. 0£3. 260(d) of the City Sewer Code applies and requires that the I subject side se�ver be constructed at your expense. I realize that this response is not �vhat you had hoped for and if you �till feel that the City is somehow liable for the subject side se�ver installation costs, I would � suggest that you submit a claim to the City Clerlt's office. The City has a stan3ard claim i•evie�v process �vhich includes an analysis by the City Attorney's �'fice and an acceptance or denial of the claim.
