The International Building Code provides that all <br /> permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at <br /> any time after work is commenced for a petiod of 180 days. If you wish to prevent the permits <br /> from expiring widiout documentation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request inspections of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, � <br /> or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, I <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records Department <br /> for microfilming without final approval.
