The <br /> International Building Code and the Intemational Residential Code state that all permits expire if the <br /> work authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the work is <br /> commenced. Work under these permits will no longer be authorized unless you: <br /> I) Demonstrate continuing progress by requesting inspection of work that has occuaed since your last <br /> inspection, ot <br /> 2) Request final inspections of the wark that is completed,or <br /> 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension,detailing justifiable cause for extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days. After that time your permit file will be sent to our Records Departrnent <br /> for microfilming without documentation of final approval.
