I did not see any evidence oi signiiicant structural damage to the wall structure, to
the ceiling teams or their supporting ends. The aacks in the dywall under the skylight aze not
1 stucturally significant and can easily be patched.
The most severe damage occurred to the rooi structure belween the garage and the house.
(I Replacement of the tive missing or damaged trusses, suppating beams, and rooi structure
wili be necessary. As the rooi is replaced. additional damage to other truss or rafter segments
'„ ' may be found, but that is unlikely.
The tioor support posts in the garage were all slightly out of plumb, but I do not believe that
was the result oi rebound from the impact. The damping characteristics of wood framed
C"'j structure would make that much reverse movement unlikely, and there was no evidence ot
aacks in the garage dywall. Some posts and many garage iloor joists were severely
_ decayed. While not connected with the imppct damage, replacement oi decayed structure is
1 I necessazy since the iloa is in danger of collapsing. The probable cause oi the decay is a
water leak al the front corner of the gazage wall at the intersection of the pavement.
,,,, The toundation was in very good condition. Two minor cracks were noted, neither of which is
of structural concern and which do not reque any repairs. The cracks in the one floor support
.
post aze not structurally signiiicant.
yr.. . . _ . . .
, =
