Water heater storage tank must be placed on an R-10 pad tf located <br /> over uninsulated or concrete floors. <br /> 6. Insulate hot and cold waterpipes to R-3 in unheated areas. <br /> 7. Shower regulations to limit hot water discharge to 2.75 r,PM. <br /> 8. Heating ducts must be insulated to R-11. <br /> 9. Woodstoves and fireplaces have tight-fitting doors. <br /> 10. Hoodstoves and fireplaces have outside combustion air ducted to <br /> firebox, with accessible damper. (Min. - 6 sG. in. net free vent area) <br /> il. Fireplaces have tight-fitting flue dampers. <br /> 12. All gas or oil combustion appliances have direct vent or forced draft <br /> venting. <br /> 13. Recessed ltghts are I.C. rated, double wall can lights. <br /> 14. 6 mil black visqueen ground cover in crawl space. <br /> Atr Sealing: <br /> 1. All plumbing, electrical and HVAC penetrations in floors, wall and <br /> ceilings are caulked and sealed. <br /> 2. Where penetrations need a firestop, discuss with your building <br /> department. <br /> 3. Electrical outlet and light switch boxes on exterior wa11s must be <br /> sealed at the back of the receptical or sealed with face plate gaskets. <br /> 4.
