It appears that the glu-laminated beam is over-spanned. Provide gravity calculations <br /> for GLB. <br /> 2. It appears that the 3/8" lag bolt spaced at 32" O.C. will not carry the load of tlre deck. <br /> Provide calculations for thc lag bolts. <br /> 3. Decks shall be positively anchorcd to the primary structure and designed for both <br /> vertical and lateral loads as applicable. Such attachment shall not be accomplished by <br /> the use of tocnails or nails subject to withdrawal. Where positivc connection to the <br /> primary building cannot bc veri6eJ during inspection, decks shall be sclf supporting. <br /> 4. Required guards shall have intermediate rails which do not allow the passage of a <br /> sphere 4" in diameter. <br /> 5. Provide dctail of guard construction, show how posts are attached to the dcck strucmre <br /> and shotv how the in-fill railing is attached to dte posts. Guardrails and handrails shall <br /> Ue capable of resisting a 200 lb point load applicd in any direction at any point along <br /> thc top.
