;_, . .
 TU •
r
Mayor Anderson CV'fr
I FROM
Frank ft. Bennett
ore
Auquat 6, 1974
SUbJECT ';__,}.y
John Dason'e Residence CITY OF CVERCTT, EVERETT, WqSHINGTON vpi k
I have discuased With the inspeetora involved the progress of
construction of the John Daweon home at 4725 Glenhanen Drive.
Afr. Da•.vson was issued a building permit for a $55,00 haae on
November 16, 1973. He paid the following charges;
Building Permit $240.75
Water sernice Permit 125.00
Driveway Permit 12,50
Sewer Permit Fee 30.00
Durinq the course of conskruction there were seven inspectione
made by the Building inspector, four inspections made by tAe
Planning Inspector, and three inspectiona made by the Electrical
Inspecor. These covered the time period from December, 28, 1973
thru April 26, 1974.
No final inspection was ever called for by Hr. Dawson or hia em-
ployeea and to date no final ins ction had been made on the struc-
ture. Apparently the ouae n now occup y t e weona. A east
some furniture had been muved in. Occupancy by an owner prior to final
! inapection, eapecially one who acts as his own contractor, is a cons-
tant problem. We hane no way of knowing when the project is completed
and understandingly thQ owner wants to occupy his new house as soon
as possible, This is a constant source of concern but apparentiy
in this case had not yet been addressed.
I have no idea why Mr. Dawson is critical of either the inapectors
and/or procedures. The inspectors in turn can see no reason for
his dissatisfaction nor are they critical of his construction pro-
cedure exc:ept as mentioned, the lack of a final inspection request.
Z would be haFpy to discuss this matter with Mr. Dawaon if you feel
it ia desirable. //_ g,
14NtlE/F12q.u1< 6
//u ,lri u,ew , O is Yes/+ucx `j45 /oT beeL-
Cow- 547r Sv — eX O srPe. a 5 !-
F,v Cn de_ I 3, 36 , 0 9 (6 / I%ea s.e Q aa o v'
c.ov.cerc s Utt- -tc4 t5'?,,cT`o... , I
 .';r I
.
; ,
,;,.riIt,;c. .a.
Y' ....•-1 a t I 1
