(JRR) accepted the duties and responsibilities <br /> required of the "Engineer of Record" to address the corrective actions required by the above subject <br /> citation. Although we understood Mr. Popov was to complete work within 20 working days of written <br /> permission from the Building Official to proceed, work is only now nearing completion. <br /> Based on our meeting at the site on September 15, 2009, we understand it is critical the Fire Marshall <br /> has a tumaround with acceptable driving surface installed by Sept. 29. Since that on-site meeting JRR <br /> has received confirmation of the bearing capacity, stamped and signed by Glen Mann, P.E., of <br /> Creative Engineering Options, Inc. We also requested and received survey information confirming the <br /> wall was built entirely within the Popov Property. With confirmation of these two items, JRR has told <br /> Mr. Popov it is acceptable to pave to no closer than four feet from the back of the wall. <br /> Although these issues were resolved, several other issues remain. Survey points indicate the batter on <br /> the front face of the wall is less than required by plan. Storm drainage installation continues and the <br /> deck framing and keystone walls have not been addressed.
