In an effort to hclp cxpedite the repair of thc wall, this letter ouUines the requirements by thc City of Everctt. An enginecr, licensed by thc Statc of Washington, is required to bc rctained by thc owncrship of the property. The cnginccr will act as the tingineer of Rccord for thc retaining wall and must address the following concerns: I. A dcsign for the repair of the wall is required. i. The design of thc retaining wnll must bc appropriate for the sitc conditions. ii. Thc drainagc of tlic rctaining wall must be by approved metliods. 2. Thc rcmaindcr of thc rotaini�ig wall that has not collapsed must be inspected by thc Gnginecr of Record. A special inspection report should detail that thc wall as Uuilt mects all rcquircd codcs. 3. Any deficicncics in the cxisting wall must be documented by thc Gngineer of Rccord. A proposal to rectify any found deticiencies must thcn be submitted for approval. In addition lo thc aUovc rcyuircmcnts for a dcsign prof,:ssional, additional inforniation is rcquired. A timeline for repairs should be submitted as soon as possible. The timeline should includc thc repair of Qic wall, clean up of the affected ncighUoring propertics, spccial inspcctions mid approvals Uy thc Gnginccr of Rccord.
