These faciliL•ies are reviewed through the special property
use permit process. Specific regulations and exar.les of
projects that are subject to this permitting process are set
forth in Section 41 of the zoninq code.
Subsection 41.1.D.l.c.(4) of the zoning code states that,
"Maintenance or replacement of existing facilities, and the
installation of new utility poles, switch cabinets, pad
mount transformers, or other similar utility facilities of a
minor nature and small scale are exempt from this
Subsection."
The Planninq Department has made a determination that the
proposed changes to the substation are minor in nature;
therefore, a special property use permit is not required.
Please call me at 259-8771 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
PLANNING AND COtQ1UNITY DEVELOPMENT
C/Q.N'_
Gerr Ervine
Senior Planner
< . c e J S+,so, '
