Enclosed, please find
a copy of our soil log report showing the lot layout of approx-
imate hole locations.
During our soil investigation, we found that the lot contained
very shallow clayloam sub soil with an underlying, heavily
compacted clay soil below; the depth ran 6 feet, plus. This
is a stable type of clay, in that it is not stratified with sand
or silt layers, which could cause possible slipping. It is
our recommendation that upon installation of any fooing or
structural building walls, that these all be placed on firm
original soil and are not to be placed on any compacted clay
fill material. As long as the footings are installed directly
on top of the firm original clay base, we don 't see where there
should be any major structural problems .
It would also be our recommendation to prevent any water build-
up on the lot, to take all footing drains and down spout drains
down around the east or west side o£ the house, tiglitlining
thPm back down into the bottom swale to the north and day-
lighting out any water, ther.eby, helping to prevent any
hydraulic pressure which could cause, or give you pr.oblems
at a later date. These could all be interg :ated with your
footing and down spout drain system, and th refore, carried out
again through tightlines down, back and dayiighting into the
already existing swale to the north.
We trust that this report will be of help to ou in obt•aininq
the necessary building permits on Lot 12 . If you have any
further questions concerning the soil data, pl ,:ase don ' t
hesitate to call. [9e thank you for your busincss and hope
that we might be of further help to you in the uturn.
Sincerely,
Dnoug.
Encl.
DB/es
I f'CItCOI Afllnl Tr-tilinir: cni nnini vc- ..,, . .•. .... .._.__
