The basal glacial till was found below about 2.2 to 4.5 feet <br /> � below grade across the proposed building area. We encountered above the till <br /> in TP-1 materials consisting of grey-brown to grey, medium dense to dense, <br /> � poorly sorted slightly silty to silty sa�id with :cattered gravel and cobbles, <br /> M considered a glacial outwash deposit. These materials were encountered at <br /> �� depths below about 0.8 feet below qrade. <br /> � <br /> Overlying the �lacia: till are deposits consisting of grey-brown, medium <br /> �$ dense, silty sand with gravel, considered weathered glacial till. This strata <br /> � -; <br /> was found to vary from about i to 2.6 feet thick. <br /> 11 <br /> � Native surficial soils, consisting of about 1 .5 feet of red-brown, loose, <br /> ', silty fine sand with roots was encountered above the weathered glacial till. <br /> Is Overlying the native soils within the area of TP-2 is a surficial strata of <br /> mixed fill. This fill appears to consiet of about 1 foot of grey and brown <br /> k� <br /> � �y loose, intermixed silty sand, understood to have been placed in the past. We <br /> expect that other local fills may exist within this general area. <br /> I � <br /> 1 ? <br /> HYDROLOGIC CONDITIONS <br /> I � <br /> � � Ground water was not encounterad in any of the test pits. However, some <br /> IA evidence of seasonal seepage was indicated at the upper contact with the <br /> � t giacial till. This is considered a common condition during the normally <br /> � wetter periods of the year, where surface precipitation does not readily <br /> � � penetrate the dense glacial till, and generally flows laterally, and <br /> downslope, witnin the weathered zone above the dense till. No areas of <br /> I <br /> standing water were observed on site. <br /> ii <br /> � ' SLOPS STABILII7 <br /> � i <br /> � Explorations and observations withii.. the area above the moderate to steep <br /> t� slope portions of the site indicate that the slopes appear relatively stable, <br /> i <br /> � . <br />
