These comments address building issues only, additional <br /> revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning <br /> or Fire). All references refer to the 1991 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1991, 2nd Fdition, unless <br /> stated otherwise. <br /> 1. Plan set does not include a foundation plan. Provide foundation plan <br /> showing extent of new footings, stem walls, and slab on grade. <br /> 2. Provide details, drawn to scale, of the foundation. Show all <br /> dimensions, call out size and spacing of re-inforcing steel (re-bar), size <br /> and spacing of anchor bolts, pressure treated sill plats, etc. Show all <br /> dimensions, footings at a mimmum depth of 18' below the finished <br /> grade. Foundations supporting wood shall extend a minimum of 6" <br /> above the finished grade. <br /> 3. Provide minimum 5/8" type 'x' GWB on garage side of wall separating <br /> the garage and dwelling and a self-closing, tight-fitting solid wood door <br /> 1 3/8" thick. <br /> 4. Plans do not show how you are meeting the Wa. St. Energy Code <br /> (WSEC) requirements or the Wa. St. Ventiladon and Indoor Air Quality <br /> Code (VIA�. Ceilings are required to be insulated to minimum R-38, <br /> vaulted ceilings R-30, walls R-19, slab on grade is required to be <br /> insulatecl to minimum R-10 at the perimeter. Slabs are required to be <br /> "thennally broken" between a slab in a heated space and a slab in an <br /> unheated space.
