The Intemational Residential Code provides that all <br /> permits expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at <br /> any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. If you wisli to prevent the permits <br /> from expiring without documentation of completion, you may: <br /> I) Request inspections of work that has occuaed, to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days.
