It should provide decades worth of very low maintenance
service. Mounting details allow it to be supported by the sidewalk and building at each end. Analysis
indicated some simple reinforcement of the building is necessary to carry the bridge's design loads.
The attached analysis is done in compliance with the 1997 UBC. The following design loads were used
based on the site conditions or according to the minimum code requirements:
Design wind speed: 80 MPI4
Wind exposure: B
Seismic Zone 3
Deck load: 100 PSF (exit facilities)
All dimensions should be field verified and parts made to fit the existing structure. Ovcra'', dimensions
may vary up to three ;aches as long as none of the relationships between the structural details is altered.
The bridge can be fabricated off -site and crane installed. The steel ledgers should be fabricated first and
installed, and then the bridge assembly can be accurately positioned and the girders match drilled for a
perfect fit.
If you have any questions or if you are in need of further assistance please feel free to call.
C
WAS WO
1 h *X1
ch
r:
R. 27974
Stt)NAL3 1°Z
EXFiEFS 12-]4-Zoo
Peter Chopelas PE
