CITY OF EVERETT <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />January 5, 1987 <br />Minutes <br />r�C��� <br />F-La 0 <br />................ <br />CITY OF EVERETT <br />Put:ic V4crks Deci. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Pearl Maddy of the Planning <br />Department staff in lieu of a chairman, since Ross Hoagland's term expired at <br />the end of December. Attending were Frank Bennett, Everett Miller and Marie <br />Sullivan; also attending was Ramona Boylan, who arrived later. The first <br />order of business was the election of a new chairman. Frank Bennett offered a <br />motion to appoint Everett Miller as chairman; Marie Sullivan seconded the <br />motion. The motion passed with the following vote: <br />Bennett: yes <br />Sullivan: yes Miller: abstain <br />Everett Miller accepted the appointment as Chairman and asked for the support <br />of the other Board members in carrying out his duties. <br />ITEM 1: <br />Applicant: Norman Schulz <br />2518 Taylor Drive <br />Everett, Washington 98203 <br />Project Location: Lot 4, Edgemoor Heights q9Z0 - <br />Zoning: R-S, Single Family Residential <br />Variance Requested: From E.M.C., 19.12.050(B), Side Yard, to allow <br />construction of a single family residence that would <br />be 5 ft. 6 in. from the south side property line and <br />5 ft. from the north side property line instead of <br />the 7 ft. 6 in. required by City code. <br />Pearl Maddy summarized the staff report (see Variance File No. 45-86) and <br />presented slides of the property. <br />Norman Schulz, 2518 Taylor Drive, the applicant, stated that he was satisfied <br />with the staff report and did not wish to speak. No one else spoke either for <br />or against the variance request. <br />Motion: Frank Bennett offered a motion to grant the variance as <br />recommended by staff. Marie Sullivan seconded the motion. <br />Vote: Unanimous in favor of granting the variance. <br />ITEM 2: <br />Applicant: Dick Maulsby (JFM Construction) <br />23607 Highway 99, Suite 2A <br />Edmonds, Washington 98020 <br />Project Location: 6005 Broadway <br />
