These comments address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State of Washington and /or Washington State Energy Code 1995 Edition, unless stated otherwise. In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings reflecting the correctioos requested. 1. Specify all posdfooting, posdbeam connecdons. A posidve connecdon is required for uplift and lateral support per secpon 2324. Show connecdons on plans. 2. Footings supporting a wood structure aze required to extend below the frost line as requi:ed by secdon 1806.1 and table 18-I-D. Show depth of footing below finished grade on plans. Show finished grade on plans. 3. Specify species and grade of all lumber on plans. 4. All wood exposed to the weather is required to be of natural resistance to delay or pressure treated.
