These services <br /> included designing and detailing basement and retaining walls. <br /> In the details of the exterior walls several notes were included <br /> pertaining to the need f .r the collection of surface and ground <br /> water. Uncontrolled surface water could build up excessive <br /> hydrostatic pressures on the above mentioned walls. <br /> It is my understanding that you have provided tight lines around <br /> the structure in addition to a 4" diameter perforated pipe at the <br /> base of the perimeter wall. In addition, the walls were treated <br /> with an asphaltic moisture barrier and back filled with clean <br /> free-draining well granulated material. These provisions should <br /> adequately reduce hydrostatic �ressures along the wall. <br /> Please note that one of the provided details specified a 6" <br /> diameter perforated pipe.
