The proposal is on a <br /> dead-end street near Interstate 5. The proposal would create a driveway access . <br /> width of q� feet and an overall driveway width of 4S feet. City Code 13.16.060 . <br /> provides for an access with a maximum width of 20 feet with an overall driveway <br /> width of 25 feet on residential access streets. City Code 13.16.050 (G) requires <br /> focward vehicle access to streets for commerciai purposes. <br /> The Code further proviaes that c:ity l:ounul �av ¢rant variances iroin the Code <br /> if it can be shown that (l) peculiar physical conditions exist, (2) the request is <br /> not against the public interest, (5) will not adversely aifect adjacent properties, <br /> and, (4) will be an unnecessary hardship on the applicant. A Public Works Depart- <br /> ment review finds that the proposed access should not pose a significant traffic <br /> hazard and that such a driveway should not adversely affect adjacent properties. <br /> RECOMMENDED ACTION ' <br /> lt is recommended that the Public Works Department be authorized to issue a permit <br /> for a ��foot driveway to Euclid.
