The International Building Code provides that all <br /> permiu expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned at <br /> any time after work is commenced for a period of 180 days. If you wish to prevent the permits <br /> &om expiring without documentation of completion, you may: <br /> 1) Request inspections of work that has occurred, to document continuing progress, <br /> or 2) Request final inspections of the work that is completed, <br /> or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 dzy extension. <br /> Please respond within 10 days.
