Pc oil
1. Proposed (3) Ley!and Cypress trees along the back side. This plant is evergreen and is
very fast growiny. It can grow up to (25) feet tall and will consume the entire 10' wide
landscape area in the rear. I recommend (10) foot height at planting; spaced (S) foot on
center. These evergreen trees will block the neighbor's view quickly as well as block
anyone who wishes to try and walk back there. The pitures you sent me of similar
screening used an /rborvitae species. These are typically slow growing, only grow up to
(18) feet in IieiSht, and are very skinny, leaving space for the loiterng public to occupy the
space between the shrubs and the fence.
2. The existing shrubs around the trash enclosure will remain.
a. Pedestrian Trac along clie Northwest property line:
1. A proposed hedge along the existing landscaping at the drive to Lombard will consist of a
Barberry. These plants have thrones and will be pianted (3) foot on center again to deter
pedestrians from using the landscape area.
2. Grouping of shrubs are proposed at the northeast corner of the landscape area to prevent
pedestrians irom traveling through the landscape area to the NE corner of the lot, as well
as aid in buffering from the drive-thru traffic. These shrubs typically grow to be
approximately four feet and will not be able to be over stepped once matured.
c. Supplemental planting along the northern property line:
1. Due to the density of the existing tree canopy and the problematic root system along the
property line, I recommend removing (5) feet of lawn area to make room for the grouping
of shrubs. This will allow tle proposed shrubs better sunlight and more room to grow.
The shrubs proposed are evergreen and are medium in size.
2. These proposed groupings will enhance the landscaping along that portion of the site and
buNer the proposed drive-thru traffic.
Best.
Allison
Allison L.
