(AL-SI) completed an additional subsurface exploration
progran at the subject properry to complete this addendum report. The purpose of this
exploratory work was to provide additiona( information concerning the subsurface soil
conditions in areas previously occupied by buildings during our previous field study. This
information was then used to refine geotechnical engineering recommendations for foundation
support for the proposed new building. This report also summarizes augercast pile design
recommendations previously provided to the project structural engineer. Our findings and
recommendations are oudined in the following sections of fliis letter.
The site has been previously explored and studied by AESI. AESI's previous study was a
report tided "Subsurface Exploration, Geologic Hazard, and Preliminary Geotechnical
ngineering Report — Everett School District Maintenance Facility" dated May 1, 2001.
Information obtained during dis previous study will be augmented by this current scope of
work.
T6is repoR preseuts de results of our additional subsurface explorations and geotechnical
engineering study for Ihe proposed maintenance faciliry. The approximate locations of the
explorations accomplished for this study and our previous study are presented on the revised
( Site and Exploration Plan, Figure 1. Logs of thc additional exploration pits performed for this
rcport are also attached.
