A condo development of residential homes is being constructed conliguous lc
our properties, north of Arby s and my commercial property. Water and silt is flowing frorc the residenlial condo
development site onto my parking lot and inlo a storm retenlion sump wilhin in lhe parkiny lot. Attached are two
photographs. I first raised this as an anticipated concern regarding the grading of the neighboring property in writing to
lhe City of Everelt when comments were solicited regarding the proposed development. That concem has become
realized, as we are already experiencing some run off frcm irrigation occurring on the develnpment, bul it will undoubtedly
worsen with iainy weather.
The grading on the develupment site is broughl up ayainst the west and norih parking lot curbs on the prking lot
perimeler, to lhe height nf the curb, as thouyh the curb were serving as a wall. I believe lhe developer should have built a
wall to retain its soil. The curb is actually wilhin the property boundary somwhal and pavement e:tends further oul from
lhe curb. Draining from the irrigalion percolates downward until stopped by lhe pavement and then flows over lhe
pavement, and under the concrele curb, across or parking lol lo lhe lowest level. At the lowesl levei il drains, waler and
soil, into our storm retention container. My concern is the burden of cleaning lhe parking lot, the eventual loss of lhe
storm drain as it fills wilh soil, and increased hazard from lhe accumulation of ice on lhe parking lot during cold
temperatures.
Altached are two photographs of the daily drainage occurring now.
If you are not the property department to address this matter, please refer me to the appropriate depzrtment Hithin the
Cily or Counly. Thank you.
Steven Michael
1031 SE Everett Mall Way
Everelt, WA 98208
425.347 7777
\oinis found in this outcoingucssagc.
Chccked by AVG Prcc Ldition.
Vcrsinn: 7.LdO/Vinis Dat:ibusc: 265.1 LGa2S - kccase llatc: S125/200ti
- \
S13G/200G
