SEC'TION 2-02 REI110VAL OT STRUCTURES AND OBSTRUC7'IONS 2-OZ.1 Descriation The work shall consist of the rcmoval and d�sposal of various existing improvements, such as pavements, structures, pipe, curbs, curb and gutler, gutter and other items necessary for thc acromplishment of qie improvement. Al] work done with asbestos-cement pipc shall conforni to the "Recommended Standard Asbestos-Cement Pipe Wark Practice Procedure and Training Requirements," latest edition, as publislied by the American Watcr Works Association, Pacific Noril»vest Seclion. Asbestos-cement pipe shall bc removed and disposed of in accordance wilh the practices speciGcd by thc State of Washington Department of Ecology and thc Snohomish �ounry Solid Waste Division. 2-02.2 Removal of Bridees, Box Cuberls and Olhcr Draina�e Structures Where struclures or inslallation of concretc, brick, blocks, etc. interfere with thc constn�ction thcy shall be removed, and all pipc opcnings shall be properly plugged watcnight with Class 3000 concrete, or with mortar and masonry, blocks or brick. WLcre tlie structures are removcd, tlie voids shall be backfillcd wiUi suitable job cxcavated material and compactcd as the Gnginecr may direcl, and such compaction work shall be considered as incidental to lhe removal work. 2-02.3 Retnoval of Pavement Classification of pavemenl removal for concrele and asphaltic concrete pavement shall bc as follows: A.
