3.10- SUR�'EYINC AND 11fONUMF,NTATION <br /> 3.10.1 Dcscrintion <br /> This work shall consist of all tii^ sun�cying and monumentation rcquimd to <br /> construct the p:oject as described ic the plans and these Specifications. <br /> It shall be thc responsibility of the devcloper/contractor to furnish matcrials and <br /> install monumenls and caslings in accordance •�vith lhe drawings and where <br /> directed by the engineer. All survey work shall be perfomicd by or under thc <br /> dircct supervision, of a Professional Land Survcyor (PLS) licensed in the State <br /> of Washington. Monument and monumcnt case and cover shall be supplied and <br /> �nstalled per Standard Plan No. 313. <br /> Surveying, as required to conslruct a given project per the approvcd plans, snall <br /> bc fumished by tlie developer at no expense to the city. It is required that <br /> sun�ey stakes bc sct ior new c��rb and gutter construction, for bo.h horizontal <br /> and vertical control. Additionally, any waler, storm drain, or sanitary sewer <br /> m�ins whicli are to be constructed in easements are to have survey offset stakr.s <br /> set prior to starling that work, and any deviation from that staked line must Ue <br /> Ictl uncovcred and resurveycd to realign easement as required and for correcled <br /> as-built inCormation. <br /> 3.10.2 Matcrials <br /> Materials for monumentation shall be Class 3000 coucrete or commerc:al <br /> conc�ete per Section 6-02 of the WSDOT/APWA Standard Spccifications and <br /> the monument case and covcrs shall bc gray iron castings conforming to lhe <br /> requiremcnts of AASHTO M ]O5, Class 30B. Thc cover and seat shall be <br /> machined so as to have perfcct contact around the entire circumfcrencc and full <br /> �vidth of bcaring surface. <br /> 3.10.3 Construction Requiremenls <br /> Monuments shall be located at all centerlinc intcrscctions oCintersccting strccts. <br /> Curved strcets shall be monumented at ccnlcrline PI's (point oFintersection), if <br /> it falls within the strcet pavemcnt, olhenvise thc PC (point of curvalurc) and PT <br /> (point of tangency) of the curve shall bA monumented. <br /> It shlll be the dcveloper's/contractor's responsibility to provide thc surveying <br /> rcquired to establish or perpetuate land corner monumentation as may be <br /> required on the project. <br /> All land comer surveying shall conforn� to die rcquircments of RCW 58.09. t.` <br /> the developer's or contractor's surveyor rcplaces or restores an existing or <br /> oUlitcratcd "Gcneral Land Officc" (GLO) corncr(s), it shall bc Uieir <br />( responsibility lo file "Land Corner Rccords" Cor lhesc monuments with thc <br /> Snohomish Counry Audilor's Officc. <br /> 14� <br />
