These comments address building issues only. Additional <br /> revisions or additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning <br /> or Fire). All references refer to the 1994 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1994 Edition, unless stated <br /> otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. The eapansion creates a showroom space that now requires two exits as the occupant <br /> load is greater than 50 per Table 10-A. The following comments are hased on that <br /> condition: <br /> a) The exits snould be separated from each other by a minimum of �fz the greatest <br /> diagonal (distance) of the showroom (approximately 40' separation) per Section <br /> 1004.2.4. Note that a required exit cannot pass ihrough a store room. Section <br /> 1004.2.2 <br /> b) The exit doors should swing in the direction of travel (from within the room). <br /> Section10033.1.5 <br /> c) Exit signs should be place�l over the exit doors.
