Masons began laying <br />cmu's on line 10 from G2 to almost B2. Reinforcing steel was placed <br />according to plans witn adequate laps. eond beam at the base of the <br />wall was placed with job mixed grout. A sample waa taken and 3-4x4x8 <br />grout prisms were cast. Also a sample of mortar was taken and 3-2x4 <br />test cylinders were cast. Wall was covered overnite for protection. <br />Concrete Placement: Bond beam at base of wall on l�ne 10 between G-2 and <br />D-2. Cmu's wece placed thru the 5th course at the sam= location and the <br />lst course between D2 and B2 on line 10. <br />Reinforcina: No steel was placed according to plans wi.th proper <br />clearances and adequate laps. <br />�oncrete: Concrete was placed for three column pads on line 8 at <br />E2,D2,and C2. Concrete was supplied by Cadman and placed by chute. <br />Consolidation was by internal vibration. <br />INSPECTOR: BOB GARDNER <br />1-29-85 <br />Masonrv: Reported to project site to provide full-time masonry <br />inspection. Due to cold ambient temperatures i36 degrePs F) and lack of <br />equipment to heat m_.xing water or aggregates, masons �id not work today. <br />Masons waited until 11:00 a.m. for their Seattle office to send up <br />heaters. When they hadn't arrived yet at that time, masons decided to <br />go home. No samnles were taken today. <br />INSPECTOR: BOB GARDNER <br />
