The sign attachments should be sized sufficiently and designed to resist forces from wind (for exterior <br />signs), gravity and seismic loading, per IBC 1603.1. The drawings indicate spacing of support for <br />individual letters, but the elevation and section indicate a sign housing that is 21'-8" long, Please <br />revise the structural support details to match the sign submitted for review. <br />These comments address building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(Utilities, Public Works, or Planning). Code references cited include the 2009 International Building Code <br />(IBC), 2009 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2009 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), and the ICC/ANSI <br />A117.1-2003 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. All codes referenccd, as adopted by the Ciry of <br />Evcrett, should indude current revisions by the State of INashinaron. Note that federal lativs may be morc <br />restrictive.
