h' <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />�` EY ETT <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: File <br />FROM: Tony Lee, Assistant Building Official, Everett Building Division <br />DATE: April 5, 2007 <br />SUBJECT: Grease Trap <br />The subject tenant improvement DIG IT and the Everett Mall (P0703-014) houses <br />birthday parties as part of their normal service (see memo from DIG IT, dated April 4, <br />2007). The washing of frosting and ice cream down sink drains adds sugar and fat into <br />the sewer system. It is not anticipated at this time, however, that there will be an <br />amount significant enough to warrant a grease trap in the line. A trap is therefore not <br />required at this time. If in the future it is determined by Everett Industrial Pretreatment <br />that the amount of fat, oil and/or grease are significant, a trap will be retro-actively <br />required at that time. <br />If your have any questions, please call me at (425) 257-8812 <br />
