The existing unit weighs <br />approximately 400# and the new unit 525#. 'fhe new unit will be placed upon the <br />existing curbing and this analysis was conducted to review the support framing <br />immediately under the unit spanning between the roof joists only. <br />'file un.it length roughiy matches the existing steel roof joist spacing and support angles <br />are provided spanning between the roof joists under the sides of the unit curb. Angles <br />3x3x%4 were found to be acceptable to support the sides of the unit curbing, and the ends <br />of the curb are placed directly over the existing joists. The new framing shall support the <br />existing decking edge and, together with the existing roof joists, shall provide solid <br />bearing under all sides of the unit/curb (typical). <br />The unit shall be fastened to the curbing, and curbing fastened to the roof per the <br />manufacturers recommendations for 85 mpli Exp B wind loading and Seismic Site Class <br />D (Sds=0.830) per the 2009 International Building Code.
