Everett Mall 13'ay
City Permit No. 17793
ARCO FAC Na. 5446/Our ]ob No. 2197
Dear Larry:
As earlier discussed, the energy calculations submitted with the Building Permit
Application package on this project reflected that R-19 insulation was adequate for the
ceiling, whereas ;he plans called for R-30 insulation. You indicated that the energy
calculations constituted HVAC design based on Chapter 4 method in lieu of prescriptive
method and would therefore be acceptable.
This letter is to confirm that R 19 insulation will be accepted by the city for
the ceiling of this facility. It would be appreciated if ou could acknowledge this
acceptance in writing for our files and also inform your inspector of this revision.
Please advise if you have any questions or need of additional information in this regard.
Sincerely,
ll—
A1 Kendall
Project Engineer
AK/sm
C276.15
cc: Mr. Chuck Hutchens, ARCO
Mr. Cary Sweet, CSC Deelopment
6625 South 190th, # 102 • Kent, Washington 98032 •(206) 872-5522
