TO Mayor Anderson FROM Lloyd E. Henning foiyefDATE June 14, 1974
SUBJECT AGENDA ITEM
CITY OF EVERETT. EVERETT. WASHINGTON
everett
It is recommended that the following item be placed on the City Council Agenda:
ACCEPTANCE OF 5.0' UTILITY EASEMENT ON PROPERTY
OWNED BY KEYSTONE ENGINEERING SOUTH OF DIAGONAL
WAY ADJACENT TO THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF
3RD AVENUE.
EXPLANATION:
In 1969 the City completed install?tion of sewer mains along Diagonal Way.
Gray and Osborne was the City consultant designed( and location surveyord
for this project.
Currently, Keystone Engineering is developing property at the Southeast
corner of 3rd Avenue and Diagonal Way. An independent survey obtained by
Keystone Engineering showed that the City trunk sewer line is encroaching
slightly on Keystone's West property line. The City survey crew confirmed
this sewer line encroachment and states that the sewer line was incorrectly
located by Gray and Osborne due to a monument placed in the wrong location.
City crews have removed this monument and it is now correctly located.
The five foot utility easement was granted to the City at no cost by Keystone
Engineering and now frees the swver line from encroaching on private
property.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that Council accept the utility easement and that it b\'
plan the official records of the City. /
y, :is—_
VVbI(r
ttachment
