The west end had an elevation of 602.0 and the east
end on elevation of 605.0. There is an error on the east end
elevation.
We are submitting for your approval the revised C2 drawing dated
August 14, 1987 by Barghausen showing the east end to also be
602.0. The ridge line elevation 602.12 will take care of the
surface runoff. These revised elevations of 602.0 on the corners
are the elevations and the roof loadings that this vault was
designed to carry. The original information furnished you are
for the 602.0 corner elevations and loadings.
Enclosed you will find a statement from Central Prestress Co.
who designed the roof panels and ere furnishing them for this
project. Central Prestress Co. and our structural engineer,
J. Clark Johnson P.E., confirm the design as original submitted.
Regarding the change of select material under the footings as
shown in the structural plan to 2" PVC weep lines through the
footings, this change was instituted in consultation with the
structural engineer prior to bidding the job.
The select material is not necessary where proper soils pressure
is obtained on native soil - the select material was not even
bid into the job and the PVC pipe will take are of any hydro-
static pressure under the slab.
We are assured by J. Clark Johnson that select material under
footings will not be placed on any future drawings.
The PNIC pipe in question is 2" -200 PSI - P'A pipe PVC1120-AST14D
2241.
Sincerely,
Robert J. Scalzo
President
Enclosures
