maximum depth of 2.5 feet and an average depth not exceeding 2.0 feet, is required to
be associated with the :reatment cell.
The calculation package de[errnines the 6 month, 24-hour hydrogrzph volume (the
wetpond design volume) by taking 64% of t}e 2 year, 24-hour hydrograph volume.
This approach is conservative - it is the 6 month precipitation amount that is 64% of
the 2 year amount; the 6 month runoff volume is a lesser percentage of the 2 year
runoff volume, depending upon a site's [ime of concentration and curve numbers.
City standards require a 72 inch catch basin with 4 feet of catch to be located upstream
of the wetpond.
The pond location and design should be approved by a geotecfmical engineer,
especially given its location in a fill area. Unless a geotechnical engineer approves
otherwise, the pond must be lined to prevent saturation and possible failure of the fill
slope.
