Tony Lee
Tony,
Mohammed Yaseen, our tenant and owner of the'Best Minimart' at Suite A, 607
SE Everett Mall Way, (607 International Marketplace), has requested permission to
install a new bathroom in an existing space in his store. I informed him that he would
need to get a permit from the City of Everett, and use a licensed plumber ro complete the
work. Mohammed went to the permit services couuter, where he was told that he would
need to construct a fully ADA compliant bathroom, which would necessitate him moving
one of the walls approximately six inches. He has told me that his only interest in having
a bathroom is to allow his employee, when sh : is alone in the store, a p4ace to use a
bathroom without leaving the store, and there reducing Uie time that the front door is
locked – otherwise she needs to fully lock the store, and use the employee bathroom that
is in the building's hallway. For customers, and persons requiring an .\DA compliant
bathroom, we have two public bathrooms in the hallway next to La Hacienda.
He has asked me to 6nd out if it is possible to construct this bathraom using the existing
walls with the understanding that the bathroom is only for his employee, and that if he
vacates the space, that the bathroom will need to be removed, and the space returned to
it's previous siate, or otherwise brought up to full ADA code at thzt time. If not, he has
stated that he may be able to move the wall, however, this may make the hallway too
narrow for deliveries to his walk-in cooler.
Attached are two drawings, the first two showing potential layouts for a new bathroom.
The third drawing shows the rough layout for the store. Thatik you for your assistance
with this matter, and I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Dave Robinson —
Robinson PropeRies
