Everett Mall Way <br />Subject: Code�Ccnformance <br />Dear Mr. and Mrs. Anderson: <br />On June 10, 1992, I visited several tenant spaces at 607 S.E <br />Everett Mall Way with Assistant Fire Marshal Sam Preston. <br />We visited the Everett Plaza Beauty School, Chuck's Mechanical <br />and Kids and Company Daycare which with minor exceptions <br />(noted by Assistant Fire Marshal Preston) were found to <br />conform with codes on an individual basis. <br />Aowever, some of the tenants do not appear ta conform to the <br />occupancy and floor areas of the original Certificate of <br />occupancy issued April 12, 1979. The oriqiral occupancy of <br />these buildings was listed as B-2 (F-2 in the 1979 UHC) and <br />the original construction was listed ?� Type V-N. <br />The day cara is an E3 occupancy and Chuck's Mechanical is <br />either a B1 or an H4 occupancy. Occupancy changes are <br />required to be submitted for building permits. Effective <br />January 13, 1991, Ordinance No. 1759-90 requires building <br />changes to one which would require an automatic fire <br />suppression system to be provided with an automatic fire <br />suppression system. It is recommended that you submit for <br />change of occupancy permits (include the information below) as <br />soon as possible so that possible dangerovs conditions can be <br />clarified, a plan of correction be agreed upon, if required, <br />and your potential liability minimized. <br />Future building permit submittals for these buildings (Chuck's <br />Mechanical inPormed us that he will be expanding) will require <br />comprehensive building plans indicating the fol?.owing: <br />Building setbacks and yaxds <br />Access Roads <br />Tenant occupancy and square footage <br />Building construction <br />CITY OF EVERETT• 3200 Cedar Sireet • EveretL WA �8201 •(206) 259-8800 • Fax (206) 259-BBB2 � <br />
