Robinson Properties, Inc, LLC
Job Address: 607 SE Everett Mall Way
Plan Check No: M1206-031
Dear Ms/Sir:
In the pursuit of a code compliant Type-i hood installation, it is imperative that you provide an
accurete set of construction documents. The documents, as submitted, have yet to address the
following issues:
1. IMC 507.12 requires the hood to overhand the cooking equipment by 6" on all open
c?es. See Figures 507.12(1) &(2), enclosed.
2. After the overhangs are proviled by Item 1 above, what wiil be the clearance between
the hood and the combustible walls on the sides? Please provide dimensioned and to-
scale cross-section details showing the relationships between the hood and the walls.
Since the walls are combustible, you would need to have 18" of clearance or provide
one of the clearance reduction methods of IMC 308, Table 308.6 (enclosed). IF using
clearance reduction, show all materials and spacings.
3. The submitted drawings indicate 10" of clearance between the to;: of the hood and the
combustible ceiling/roof assembly. If it is the intent to use a clarance reduction
method from IMC 308, please provide a dimensioned and to-scale cross section showing
all materials and spacings.
Please provide 2 copies of the revised drawings.
Sincerely,

Steve Miller
Associate Engineer
CITI' OF EVERETT • 3200 Cedar Street • Everelt, WA 98201 •(425) 257-6800 • Fax (425) 257-8882
sin,m•a<acseu<„>n:o.,n rov s[ r.mi m,n w,ri aK
