These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions, or additions, <br />may be reyuired by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references <br />refer to the 1997 Uniform Building Code, as amended by the State oF Washington and/or <br />Washington State Energy Code, 2001 Edition, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />1. The plan must indicate all door locations, sizes and configurations. <br />2. Doors to be used for c;;;ting must be identified with exit signs per UBC l003.2.8.2 <br />and shall be readily distinguishable per UBC 1003.3.1.1. The exit signs shall be <br />illuminated per UBC 1003.2.8.4. <br />3. Means of egress are reGuired to be illuminated per UBC 1003.2.9.1. This <br />illumination is required 'co have emergency backup power in the event of failure of <br />th� premise's electric:i supply. UBC 1003.2.9.2. <br />4. Exit doors are requited to swing in the direction of egress. UBC 10033.1.5. <br />5. Exit dours are required to be equipped with panic hardware. UBC 1007.2.5. <br />6. The room is required to be posted with a sign limiting the occupant load to 110 <br />people.
