A double-check detector valve assembly (DCDA) should be shown on the drawings to replace the single check detectors serving this space. The building owner should have received correspondence from Tim Markham, Everett Cross-Connection Specialist, earlier this year. According to our records, this tenant space is currently being served by a singlP-check detedor. 2. All replacements of a single check detector to a double check detector will need to be installed by a private contractor, since the city only installs new services upon request. 3. The fire service for the tenant space should be shown from the tenant space to the city main, including the cross connedian. 4. The revised sprinkler submittai will require three copies of the following, so that the submittal can be reviewed: a. A catalog cut indicating the DCDA manufacturer's model in the'Backflow Prevention Assemblies Approved for Installation in Washington State', published by the Washington State Department of Heaith, current edition. b. A plan and sedion of the intended location and installation of the DCDA. The DCDA can be located in an interior or an e�erior location, to comply with City of Everett Standard Construction Drawings 515 or 523, attached. c. The modei number of the DCDA should be shown on the drawings. d. The routing of the fire service from the city main should be shown relative to the proper[y line of the building. e. The riser room should be identified on the plans. f. A post indicator valve (PIV) is required if there is not direct access to the riser room from outside of the building. g. All plan sheets affected by these revisions. h. All hydraulic calculations affected by these revisions.
