Rrea separation walls shall extend Prom the <br />foundation to a point at least 30 inches above the <br />roof . <br />Action: Acceptance of a 6 foot horizontal offset in an area separation wall <br />within the theater (detail attached) conditioned upon; <br />l. Two automatic sprinkler heads located above wall openings on <br />Grid D. <br />2. Fbrizontal offsets be formed in fl '_nch thick concrete. <br />3. Reinforcement oP said concrete h;ve a minimun oP 2 inches of <br />cover. <br />4, Connections of slab to vertical walls be accomplished by dowels <br />with a minimun of 2 inches of cover. <br />Findings: 1. Homogeneous materials to be used for horizontal and vertical <br />poxtions of separation. <br />2, A water curtain to be provided as a positive barrier for the <br />spread oP flame. <br />3. The configuration of the horizontal portion to exceed <br />requirements for tested 4 hour assemblies both in concrete <br />thickness and coverage of reinforcing steel. <br />4.
