E2SSB 5454 creates a dedicated revenue source, a portion of which will be for State <br /> contributions to district court and qualified municipal court judges. To qualify for a State contribution to <br /> Everett Municipal judges' salaries,the City of Everett must establish by ordinance that a full-time judge is <br /> compensated at a rate equivalent to at least 95%, but not more than 100%, of a district court judge salary or <br /> for a part-time judge on a pro rata basis the same equivalent. This ordinance is being proposed to meet this <br /> requirement and qualify for the State contribution. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Adopt an Ordinance Relating to Municipal <br /> Judge Salaries, Amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1259-86, as Amended by Section 2 of Ordinance No. <br /> 2228-97 and Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2544-01 (EMC 2.108.040). <br /> �A1 <br />
