They are currently under contract to produce the design drawings and provide Engineering support <br /> during construction. This change order reflects additional design/re-design elements, additional scope items, <br /> material testing and inspection, and recording and evaluating pile driving records have added to their contract <br /> scope. <br /> Prior costs committed to Account Number 339 include a$2,444,532 contract with Brown and Caldwell and a <br /> $40,957,477 Construction Contract with Hoffman Construction Company of Washington. Public Works <br /> staff recommends that the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order#1 to Brown and <br /> Caldwell's contract to compensate them for additional work performed. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Change Order#1 <br /> with Brown and Caldwell for additional work performed in the amount of$986,825.00. <br /> 7 <br />
