Responses were received as shown on the attached bid summary. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Award Bid 2005-770 for an Annual Supply of Water Treatment Chemicals to the lowest responsive bidders at their unit prices bid as follows: • Soda Ash to OCI Chemical Corporation at$192.60 per ton for an estimated annual total of $317,790. • Aluminum Sulfate to General Chemical Performance Products at $209 per ton for an estimated annual total of$79,440.90 including Washington State Sales Tax. • Liquid Chlorine to JCI Jones Chemicals at$491 per ton for an estimated annual total of$98,200. • Polyelectrolyte in carboys to Hexagon Technologies at$1490 per ton for an estimated annual total of$80,907 including Washington State Sales Tax. • Polyelectrolyte in bulk to Nalco Company at $1310 per ton for an estimated annual total of$71,133 including Washington Sate Sales Tax. i
