Additional Required $0 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The City of Everett has a water conservation plan that is an element of its Comprehensive Water Plan. This water conservation plan is implemented throughout the City's water service area. Water conservation audits and rebates are one program in this plan. The City of Everett, where applicable,will reimburse businesses for half the cost of certain water saving retrofits and equipment. These reimbursements are budgeted in the regional water conservation budget. The City of Everett has received a rebate application from Autumn Oaks LLC dba Autumn Oaks Apartments, for reimbursement of the replacement cost of 122 toilets with new low-flow toilets. The $7,453.00 expenditure listed above is 50% of the cost of replacement of 122 toilets. The estimated water savings that will occur by replacing these toilets is 1,459 CCF (hundred cubic feet)of water per year. Based on the savings and the avoided cost criteria in the Comprehensive Water Plan,these measures would be cost effective for the City. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement between the City of Everett and Autumn Oaks LLC dba Autumn Oaks Apartments for water conservation measures in the amount of$7,453.00. 14
