The plans we reviewed
were the original vellum drawings prepared by you, including a site plan with ground elevations, and
Sheets A1-A3. The plans show a 2-story structure located over a garage and daylight basement.
Except for the garage interior column supports, the foundations are continuous. Based on the
cross-sections and plan, it appears that rockeries limited to a height of 4 feet will be used around
the house.
On July 25, 2000, we conducted a study for Lot 1 of this subdivision. At that time, we also
excavated two test pits on Lot 2. These test pits encountered similar soil conditions as we found on
Lot 1. Dense glacially consolidated soils were found at about 5 feet below the ground surface. The
house excavation should mostly encounter these dense soils. Some overexcavation may be
required in the garage area.
The proposed foundation and grading plans are acceptable from a geotechnical standpoint. If
there are any questions, please contact us.
Fj Resoectfully submitted,
t' pt'MA9Hti'f.
