City Council will determine whether Council will: (1) approve the gathering of petition signatures <br /> representing 75% of the assessed valuation of the annexation area, as found within the annexation boundaries <br /> depicted on the attached map, (2)geographically modify the proposed annexation area, (3)require the <br /> adoption of a comprehensive plan for the area proposed for annexation, and (4)require the assumption of <br /> existing City indebtedness by owners of property within the proposed annexation area. There are two owners <br /> in the subject annexation area. <br /> The annexation before Council will be combined with property already in the City for development of <br /> commercial and residential uses. The Comprehensive Plan designation,Mixed Use Commercial—Multiple <br /> Family(4.4),was one of the docket items approved by Council on July 20,2005. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Approve resolution accepting the 10% <br /> petition and Notice of Intent, submitted by Allan Clark to gather signatures on the 75%petition for the Clark <br /> West annexation, located south of 96th Street SE and east of 19th Ave SE. <br /> 9 <br />
