6 <br /> Resolution Number <br /> A Resolution accepting the 10 percent petition <br /> and authorizing submittal of the 75 percent petition <br /> for the Clark West Annexation <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Everett has received a 10 percent petition and Notice of Intent <br /> to Annex meeting the requirements of RCW 35.13.125. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has a desire to work with investors and citizens around <br /> Everett in unincorporated Snohomish County to become part of the City of Everett, and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council recognizes the subject annexation area is to be included with <br /> the property to the south, which is inside the City limits, for a combined development. <br /> WHEREAS, the area proposed for annexation is within the Urban Growth Boundary <br /> established by Snohomish County. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The City of Everett wishes to accept the 10 percent petition for the proposed <br /> annexation and authorize the signature collection for the 75% petition. <br /> 2. The subject area of annexation is depicted in Exhibit "A." <br /> 3. The City of Everett will require the simultaneous implementation of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation by adoption of implementing zoning for the <br /> annexation area. <br /> 4. The City of Everett will require the assumption of this annexation's portion of <br /> existing City indebtedness. <br /> Councilperson Introducing Resolution <br /> Passed and approved this day of , 2005. <br /> Council President <br /> 13 <br />
