Map <br /> 7/20/05 Real Estate <br /> Committee <br /> Amount Budgeted -0- <br /> Expenditure Required -0- Account Number(s): <br /> Budget Remaining -0- <br /> Additional Required -0- <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> On August 10,2005,City Council adopted Resolution 5658 initiating the vacation of that portion of Main Street lying <br /> East of S. 2"d Ave and adjacent to Blocks 19 and 22, Plat of the Town of Lowell, except that portion vacated by <br /> Snohomish County on 2/25/52. <br /> The City has identified property owned by the abutting land owner that is beneficial and needed for public access and <br /> utility purposes from S. 2nd Ave to the southerly end of the Simpson site to be constructed as a part of the I-5 HOV <br /> project. The proposed vacation will result in an exchange of property with the abutting landowner. <br /> The requirements set forth by law have been met and written notices of the public hearing have been timely posted <br /> and mailed as required by RCW 35.79. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> It is recommended that Everett City Council approve the vacation of all of that portion ofMain Street lying east of S. <br /> 2"d Ave and adjacent to Blocks 19 and 22,Plat of the Town of Lowell, except that portion of Main Street vacated by <br /> Snohomish County on February 25, 1952, and direct staff to prepare an ordinance subject to the conditions as <br /> contained in the attached staff report. <br /> 38 <br />
