An August 11, 2005, decision by the Washington State Supreme Court upheld the <br /> annexation process and procedures used by the City for annexation of this area. The decision has cleared the <br /> way for this action on the part of City Council. This annexation has a long history and was approved by the <br /> Snohomish County Boundary Review Board on July 19, 2000. Since that time the City of Everett has been <br /> successful at the Snohomish County Superior Court and Washington State Court of Appeals leading to the <br /> final decision Supreme Court Decision <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Approve the annexation ordinance for the Murphy Corner Annexation. <br /> 5 <br />
