I SPECIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS GENERAL GRANT FEDERAL FUNDS Violence Against Women Act of 2000, P.L. 106-386, Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, 42 U.S.C. 3711 et seq., the Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act of 2005, P.L. 109-162, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013, P.L. 113-4, and OVW's implementing regulations at 28 CFR Part 90. 17. WHISTLEBLOWER PROTECTIONS FOR EMPLOYEES OF OVW RECIPIENTS The Grantee agrees to comply with all applicable provisions of 41 U.S.C. 4712, including all applicable provisions that prohibit, under specified circumstances, discrimination against an employee by the Grantee as reprisal for the employee's disclosure of information related to gross mismanagement of a federal grant, a gross waste of federal funds, an abuse of authority relating to a federal grant, a substantial and specific danger to public health or safety, or a violation of law, rule or regulation related to a federal grant. The Grantee should inform their employees, in writing (and in the predominant native language of the workforce), of employee rights and remedies under 41 U.S.C.4712. 18.
